In a recent profile of MPTF, Jacobs remembers one of his first bookings, The Rolling Stones at Auburn University, where they got an unlistened-of for the time $25,000. He stated in the interview, “It was really exciting because when I was 21 or 22. I represented The Beach Boys back in the day, getting $7, 500 a night. I created the very first percentage date with them where they got about 70% of the gross at the door, and they walked out with $28,000. That was an exciting stepping stone to getting percentages for the groups instead of flat fees.”
